What Is a Kindle- And Who Is This Product For? We’ve researched and thought about all of the major reasons why you might want to consider buying a Kindle (and all of the major reasons why it just might not be the right product for you), and we’re going to share what we know in today’s article. With this in mind, it becomes tricky to say whether it is worth buying a Kindle.ĭon’t worry, though. That is until you realize you can do everything a Kindle can (and more) on your laptop, tablet, or even your phone these days. For this reason alone, Kindle seems like they’re pretty much worth every penny they would cost you. You can store as many books in them as you can possibly read, and they won’t take up any additional space in your bag. It’s this conversion where things can get a little tricky.Kindle is great. Starting some time in August 2022 (nope, now it’s late 2022), Amazon will stop accepting MOBI files through their Send to Kindle service, which is how most readers get books to their Kindle apps and devices. Though, like Internet Explorer, we’ll never fully be rid of it. Much like the recent death of Internet Explorer, no one will weep for the loss of MOBI. Which, again, is great news! EPUB is a standard, it’s documented, and it’s easy to work with. Email from Amazon announcing that Send to Kindle will stop accepting MOBI files
